What is silver clay?

Silver clay combines fine silver particles, an organic binder and water. Shape it while it is soft; after correct firing, the binder burns away and the silver particles fuse into 999 fine silver.

What is included?

Your chosen number of individually sealed 7 g silver clay pouches: 7 g, 14 g or 21 g in total. This is clay only. Shaping tools, firing equipment and finishing tools are purchased separately.

02

Dry. Then fire.

03

Reveal the silver.

Brush and finish your fired piece. A little shine, a little character. Entirely yours.

A little know-how

Before you begin.

A few things worth knowing before your next creation.

How much can I make with 7 g?

That depends on your design, its thickness and its size. Start with a small charm or pendant design and plan the amount before shaping. The stated weight is the clay before firing, not the weight of the finished silver piece.

Do I need tools or a kiln?

You need suitable tools for shaping, drying, firing and finishing. Follow the firing instructions supplied for your clay and the requirements of your design. If you are starting from scratch, explore our Silver Clay Kit.

How should I store leftover clay?

Keep unused clay tightly sealed and protected from air to prevent it from drying out. Follow the care instructions supplied with your pouch.
