999 Fine Silver No Kiln Required Everything Included One Afternoon

What is metal clay

It begins as clay.
It ends as silver.

Metal clay is fine silver in its softest state — microscopic particles of pure silver, held together by an organic binder and a little water. You roll it, press it, mark it with your own fingerprint. Then heat does the rest: the binder burns away, the particles fuse, and what remains is 99.9% fine silver. Nothing plated. Nothing cast in a factory. A piece that existed nowhere until it existed in your hands.

Step 01 30 minutes

Measure and shape

Find your size with the ring gauge, then work the clay like any other — roll it, press it, mark it.

Step 02 45 minutes

Dry and refine

Once dry the piece can be filed and sanded. This is where a rough shape becomes a considered one.

Step 03 5 minutes

Fire with the torch

The binder burns away and the particles fuse. The piece comes out matte white, and a little smaller.

Step 04 10 minutes

Brush and polish

The reveal. Brushing takes the piece from matte white to soft silver shine in about a minute.

Before you ask

Questions, answered.

Is it really silver?

Yes. After firing, the binder has burned away and what remains is 99.9% fine silver - purer than sterling. It can be polished, worn and cared for like any other silver piece.

Do I need any experience?

None. Metal clay behaves like modelling clay until the moment you fire it. The guide takes you from the first press to the final polish, and most people finish their first piece in a single afternoon.

Is the torch safe to use at home?

Yes, when used as described. You fire on the ceramic bowl included in the box, on a heat-safe surface, in a ventilated room. The piece is small and the firing takes about five minutes.

What can I make?

Rings, pendants, charms, ear pieces, small keepsakes - anything you can shape by hand at that scale. Many people begin with a simple band or a fingerprint pendant.

How many pieces can I make with one kit?

[TBD: depends on the grams of clay in the pouch - please supply.]

How long does delivery take?

[TBD: shipping times and destinations - please supply.]
